Pre-Session

  • Easy Peasy!

Click Here to Book a Session

I’ll then reach out via email or text and send over some materials for you to look over.

For bigger events or commercial sessions, I recommend that we chat over video or meet at a mutual location to discuss further. I love to see who I’m working with!

Once you send back the session, and details that you want, I’ll then draft up a final contract for signature that will include pricing, terms, and expectations.

Bookings are made on a first-come, first-served basis and a date is not booked until I’ve received the contract and the deposit.

  • Ah yes, communication. This is something I am constantly working to improve.

My preferred medium is through email to keep our conversations direct and streamlined.

However, I also use Instagram, phone, and text as well. Whatever you are most comfortable with, I will accommodate.

  • I found my passion for photography in August of 2020.

I then created my business Costa Media, LLC in July of 2021.

I plan on being a full-time photographer by 2022. So far we’re on the right track!

  • Some clients book as far as 2 years in advance to ensure they get the photographer they really want for their event or session depending on what it may be.

The further ahead you book the more likely I will be available for your date.

If your date isn’t yet set, feel free to drop me a line and find out which days I’m still available.

  • Overall, 2 years is my maximum lead time for any events or sessions.

  • Because I love traveling and shooting in new places, I aim to make bringing me to wherever you’re going as accessible as possible.

This means I don’t charge you for my travel time, just my direct travel expenses like gas, food, airfare, accommodations, etc.

Every location is different and travel expenses can vary throughout the year.

Please contact me for more details.

  • I have a Sony a6000 cropped frame mirrorless camera, as well as a Sony A7IV full-frame mirrorless camera along with 2 lenses that I primarily use for shoots.

    1. Sony FE 1.8/50mm prime

    2. Sony FE 5.6/16-50mm kit

    3. Sigma Art 2.8/24-70mm zoom

  • Yes!

My setup is with 2 cameras and 2 lenses on my camera harness so I can switch cameras and lenses at a moment’s notice.

  • I shoot and edit every session in RAW to ensure the maximum amount of exposure and color information is available for my editing.

However, I deliver edited and finished high-resolution JPEG files and do not include RAW files with my packages.

If you are extremely interested in having the RAW files these are available with an additional fee and agreement.

Important Note: I do not deliver RAW images for commercial use.

  • Not at the moment.

This is something I am working diligently on to include at an additional cost in my packages, and contracts.

If you feel a second shooter is necessary, we can absolutely make arrangements and figure out a solution at an additional fee.

If you would like to ensure you’ve got multiple angles of the same moments, let me know you’re thinking about including a second shooter in your package.

  • Yes, and I always have recommendations in mind.

The best videographers know how to work together with photographers as a team to ensure the client receives the best possible experience, images, and video.

  • Absolutely!

I provide 1 free one-hour consultation to couples.

I understand you’d like to meet your photographers, and understand their process better which is why I will absolutely provide that time to you at no extra cost.

I want both parties to have peace of mind going into, during, and after your special day, and having that conversation to provide peace of mind is incredibly important to clients, and myself.

  • Preface

Cancellations can be tough, but I have a plan in place in case these situations occur.

Because weddings happen primarily on weekends, those dates are valuable and limited, and most wedding bookings happen well in advance and dates cannot typically be filled with a late cancellation.

There’s no way to know from year to year which dates might be twice as popular as the weekend.

Once you’ve booked your wedding with me, I turn away all other inquiries for your date and as such, I need to be protected in the event of a cancellation for the lost work and revenue.

To accommodate, while aiming to be fair to both my couples and myself, my cancellation policy is as follows:

    Cancellation Policy

In the event of a cancellation, if I am unable to fill the date with another booking, no money already paid will be refunded.

This ties into my payment policy of 50% deposit due upon booking and 50% balance due one week prior to the wedding.

If your cancellation is more than 6 months in advance of your wedding and I’m unable to fill the date with another booking, all you are out of is your deposit.

If your cancellation is less than 6 months before the wedding and I’m unable to fill the date with another booking, you are out your 50% deposit, but are off the hook for the final payment.

Should I happen to fill the date after cancellation with another booking, you will be entitled to a full refund.

  • My services are subject to the 6% Pennsylvania Sales, Use, and Hotel Occupancy Tax.

I do not provide a “tangible good” with my services as they are delivered digital files instead of physical prints.

During Session

  • My best advice is to be authentic and have fun with the process. I try to make my clients at ease with communication and create a system where both parties are at peace of mind.

If at the end of the day you decide to choose a different photographer, that is totally ok!

My advice would be to understand their communication style and efforts to ensure you are being treated responsibly and communicated effectively.

  • This is important to discuss with my clients when reading through the contract together.

I’ve never missed an event for any reason and I intend to keep it that way, but it’s still important to have a plan in place if the unexpected does happen.

So to cover for this I have a broad network of photographers I know personally across Western PA who I would feel comfortable calling on to cover for me in the event of an emergency.

They provide identical coverage and service to what you were guaranteed in your contract, and if there were any price discrepancy I would bear that cost myself.

  • My personal aesthetic definitely leans towards warm, sunny days with glowing backlight.

For this reason, I’m always willing to reschedule any outdoor sessions due to unideal weather.

Obviously, this isn’t an option with wedding days but I will help you develop a game plan to make the most of your rainy wedding day should it happen.

This means ensuring you have tent(s) available if you’re having an outdoor reception, and could mean snagging some umbrellas from a local store just in case.

  • I will not double book on an event day. If you need me to stay for some extra time I’m happy to do so at my additional hourly rate.

  • My primary camera contains 2 memory card slots, so as soon as I take a photo, that photo is saved to two memory cards.

I have a full backup so no images are lost.

Once images are brought back to my office, they are downloaded to my computer, and immediately backed up to my on-site backup hard drive.

I have an additional backup drive from my home and update it with my most recent photos to ensure I have an offsite backup in the event of a fire or theft.

  • Yes, all hours of coverage are consecutive. If you’ve hired me for 8 hours and wanted me to start at 1PM I would be finished at 9PM.

  • Every package includes a guaranteed number of delivered images.

Please contact me for more details as this number varies per package, and per style of photo shoot.

  • Absolutely!

For portrait shoots, we can figure out what sort of photos you’d like to do if you’ve seen some Inspiring poses or work from interest, Instagram, etc.

For events, I’ll work closely with you to determine how you want your story told and the highlight moments you require.

For product shoots, I want to understand what images you think would be best communicated to your audience, and figure out how to visually tell that story in the best way possible.

Post-Session

  • This depends on the time of year.

Editing load builds up a little more during the spring and winter months due to portrait sessions, and summers due to wedding sessions.

The average turn-around time clients can expect is between 2-4 weeks.

I guarantee an absolute maximum of 90 days in my contract.

  • You’ll receive your photos through an online gallery through Pixieset.

You’ll be able to print, view, and download this high-resolution gallery from your desktop or phone.

Your gallery will be password protected if you would like or available publicly for family and friends to view.

Note: You have unlimited download access to your gallery.

  • As the content creator, under United States copyright law I am the copyright owner of the images.

However, you have the freedom to share, print, scrapbook, and use your images for personal use however you see fit.

I do not watermark my images and you’re free to print them at your lab of choice if you decide not to use the professional print lab included with your online galleries.

Important Note: What you cannot do is provide them to any sort of commercial entity for commercial use, so if your wedding venue or makeup artist contacts you about using my artwork to promote their business, just send them my way and I would be happy to work out a usage agreement.

  • Absolutely!

For every image that I deliver for your wedding in color, I also deliver in black and white.

  • I take diligent time with editing.

Every image you receive is individually edited for color, contrast, exposure, and style.

Some images occasionally require a little more finessing for temporary things like blemishes and pimples.

Important Note: Things like heavy facial retouching, wrinkle removal, or body reshaping are not included with my standard packages and are available for an additional fee.

The reason I do this is that I want to maintain the natural beauty and your special day in its perfection.

I stray away from including these services solely because I don’t want couples to look back to their special day and say that they were photoshopped or changed in any way.

My job is to capture your special day and make fine-tuning adjustments to really highlight the beauty and colors of the people and events, not recreate them through body and facial adjustments.

  • Absofruitely!

1000% Yes! There are no size or print restrictions either. No watermarks, or hassles.

  • I deliver my photos through Pixieset, an online gallery, where you have the ability to print your photos in a wide array of options, with sizes ranging up to 30x40 prints.

Needless to say, you should find exactly what you are looking for!

  • As a photographer it’s important for me to be able to show my existing body of work to attract new clients and illustrate what I can do! Typically, you can expect to see highlights from my shoots with you to show up on my website, portfolio, blog and social media. You have the option with your complete galleries to create a password lock so that only people with the password can access your complete set of photos. Sometimes there are extenuating circumstances like for undercover police officers or people in witness protection programs that cannot have any images of them online, and of course I don’t want to get anyone hurt and will absolutely respect that.

  • Of course!

I know as well as anyone that the main way people like to share their images these days is online ( But you should 100% get some physical prints made!!! ).

I only ask that anywhere that you share my images that you would credit or tag me or my website to provide credit for the artwork I’ve created.

Also, if you’re uploading to a service like Instagram, that you would not apply filters over top of the carefully crafted edits I have provided for you.

Portrait Specific Questions

  • I love portrait shoots because I get to capture your emotions and true beauty in who you are. I encourage anyone to do a portrait shoot!

  • That’s ok!

That’s why I love what I do. I’ll walk you through the entire process and make sure we have you feeling confident and ready for your session!

I have a fun and silly approach to the way I do my sessions to make sure my clients feel comfortable and confident during their sessions.

  • I, unfortunately, do not own a studio.

If that is something you are looking for, we can look into that together!

  • Absofruitely!

I want to work with clients that I connect with. I tend to be pretty flexible in my approach with couples that allows a stress-free and silly approach in direction.

I constantly tell couples and clients that if you are not comfortable doing a shoot, then I am not doing my job properly. My goal is to make sure you feel absolutely comfortable and natural throughout a photoshoot and special day.

This is why I try to meet in person or over video chat, to see if I am that person for them, and vice versa!

  • I do not instruct clients to tan before sessions just because I want to make sure that I’m capturing their natural skin tone.

If you do decide to tan before your session I would suggest tanning a week out from your session so that way your tan has enough time to settle and look natural.

  • Any place within a 60-mile radius of my location is where I will shoot without travel costs.

Any location outside of a 60-mile radius I will charge for travel costs.

  • Sessions can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on what package you choose.

  • I understand things can happen last minute whether it’s a family matter or personal issue, etc. but I do require a rescheduling fee.

    Rescheduling Policy

My payment policy of 50% deposit is due upon booking and 50% balance due one week prior to the session.

If you decide to reschedule your session, any money paid is non-refundable, and I do require a rescheduling fee of $75.00.

We will work together to find a suitable date to hold your session!

Commercial Specific Questions

  • Description text goes here
  • The types of commercial photography that I lean toward are any sort of product and/or landscape photography.

I found my passion for photography through landscape work and shortly after found that I love to create unique scenes to display objects to play around with the lighting.

  • I’ll be honest and speak for most photographers in saying that odds are we most likely do not truly know what we love to photograph for the most part.

While we are attracted to some types of work; developing a true passion and unique style for photography takes years to master.

What I can say, is that if I am chosen as your photographer, I truly try to make my experience valuable to clients from Point of Contact to a complete job.

I pride myself on communication, authenticity, honesty and consistency in my work.

  • I typically enjoy shooting landscapes and products the most.

As far as any particular products, that is something I am still trying to figure out.

What I know, for now, is that I am constantly testing my creative boundaries, and don’t limit myself to any one particular sort of work.

  • Not at the moment. This is something that I am currently working on and will be released by the end of December 2021.

  • Shooting for the usage of my images depends on the client.

Each client has different needs and wants.

I’ll do my best to work out a pricing plan and option that best suits and protects both parties.

Please contact me for more information.
